Compaq Armada 7800 Laptop

The Compaq Armada 7800 utilizes the 266 MHz Intel Pentium II
Mini Cartridge in a rather large 32cm x 26cm 5cm machine. A
rather complex heat management design using a die cast machined
aluminum heatsink and a variety of additional straps, greases,
pads, etc are employed to dissipate eight watts of power. The
Pentium die contains approximately 2100 bumps in a full staggered
array with a nominal pitch of 250 microns. Many pwb’s are used
in this machine with a variety of features....including BUM.
